On Saturday night, roughly 850,000 fireworks will light up the sky above the nation’s capital for a 40-minute pyrotechnic display ––what could be the largest show in history.
The event is positioned as the acme of President Donald Trump’s celebrations of the country’s 250th birthday, which have included a White House-hosted Ultimate Fighting Championship match, a “Great American State Fair” adorning the National Mall, countless military fly-overs, and live performances.
“To conclude the program, and commemorate this Historic Occasion, I will be launching, what will be, the LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY, right here in our Nation’s Capital,” Trump said in a Truth Social post from June 15.
Trump himself is expected to deliver remarks on Saturday night to mark the holiday.
The show was originally scheduled just before 10 p.m., E.T., but has since been pushed back to accommodate for Trump’s speech.
Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser said to reporters on Monday that the show will occur around 11 p.m.

Several broadcast networks have also announced they will be hosting special coverage of the fireworks show, and the events leading up to it, including CBS, CNN, and FOX.
C-Span
You can also watch the event for free through C-Span, which will broadcast Trump’s speech and the fireworks show, as well as offer a livestream online.
Monument Cam
Monument Cam will stream a “bird’s eye view” of the fireworks from the top of the Washington Monument.
The website says that the stream will also begin at 10:30 p.m.
Freedom 250’s website
Freedom 250, the national organization created by Trump coordinating the event, will host a live-stream of the show.
