Stars kick off Pride weekend at exclusive ‘Café Kallmeyer’ soirée in NYC

The stars were out to kick off NYC Pride weekend at the exclusive “Café Kallmeyer” soirée in New York City on Thursday night.

Designer Daniella Kallmeyer and artistic director Gabriel Hendifar teamed up to put on the special event, which also celebrated the former’s 40th birthday, at interdisciplinary design studio Apparatus in Midtown.

Notable figures from across fashion, film, music, design and culture, as well as friends of the Kallmeyer brand showed up to the star-studded event for dinner, drinks and dancing, which carried late into the night.

Celebrity guests — including actresses Britt Lower, Louisa Jacobson and Abbi Jacobson, musician Maggie Rogers, designer Jackson Wiederhoeft, media fixture Derek Blasberg, and model Toni Garrn — sipped on Yola mezcal martinis and ate a specially crafted dinner service by Chef Jeremiah Stone.

Attendees were gifted “Kall Gal” t-shirts, served on silver platters, as a nod to the community at the heart of Kallmeyer’s brand, and listened to tunes by DJ Chelsea Leyland.

Lower and Kallmeyer proudly wore the tees throughout the evening.

Choreographer Kevin Stea, who worked on Madonna’s celebrated “Blond Ambition” tour, put on a special performance with dancers Javier Madrid and Charlie Sue Birznieks.

Before the night came to a close, Kallmeyer was presented with a birthday cake and blew out the candles in front of the crowd.

The evening ended with Emmy Award-winning composer Lance Horne leading a late-night piano singalong with theater performers Emma Pfaeffle, Elijah Caldwell and Christian Lee Branch.
