Daveigh Chase found herself living on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles in the months leading up to her tragic death, new video reveals.
In the gruesome clip obtained exclusively by The Post, the “Lilo & Stitch” actress can be seen looking extremely skinny and barely conscious on the floor of a tent or trailer in LA’s notorious Skid Row.
Chase’s longtime manager, John Ryan, told the outlet he’d been searching for Chase alongside her stepsister Gaia Brown with the help of a private investigator for months before they were made aware of the video in late 2025.

He said he was able to speak with Chase on the phone so he could rescue her for treatment shortly after he came across the video, but the actress “disappeared” once again by the time he made it to Skid Row.
Ryan said he and Brown planned to nurse Chase back to health in LA before getting her to a rehab facility in Costa Rica owned by a friend he knew.
“We were so close to finding her,” he told The Post. “Daveigh was the sweetest and brightest light in Hollywood. I can’t believe this is real. Her legacy and work will live on forever.”
Shortly before her death, a GoFundMe was created by her boyfriend Roy Hernandez to help Chase “find comfort and peace” in her final days.

“Daveigh Chase, my girlfriend, has always been a light in my life. Many people know her as a talented childhood actor from ‘Lilo & Stitch,’ ‘Spirited Away,’ and ‘Donnie Darko.’ But behind the scenes, she’s faced more than her share of hardship,” the campaign reads.
“After a difficult childhood and a painful falling out with her family, Daveigh was bullied and struggled to find safety and happiness in downtown LA. When we met, I promised to protect her and give her the love and comfort she deserved. Together, we found moments of happiness and hope.”
However, according to Ryan, the man behind the account is an imposter allegedly grifting for unnecessary cash.
“Apparently, a man claiming to be her ‘boyfriend’ that none of us friends or her family has heard of has set up a GoFundMe on ‘her and her families behalf’ that he set her up as the organizer. I can confirm Daveigh has a trust account set up at SAG to cover all costs,” he told The Post.
The “Ring” actress allegedly had received “millions” in residuals from her work as a child star. However, the money went unclaimed as Chase was “too far gone” on heroin and fentanyl to collect, Ryan shared.

With Chase no longer living to collect her money, the funds would then be given to her next of kin — which, in this case, would be her father, Ryan noted.
Chase died June 16 after she was diagnosed with meningitis and a blood infection that caused her body to turn septic and eventually shut down. She was 35 years old.
According to TMZ, the “Donnie Darko” actress had been admitted to a Los Angeles hospital earlier this month due to malnutrition.
