Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos slams ‘scary’ social media streamers who’ve flooded Nancy Guthrie’s nabe

The Arizona sheriff leading the stalled search for Nancy Guthrie blasted the behavior of social media streamers flooding her Catalina Foothills neighborhood since she vanished as “scary” and “egregious,” just days after three were arrested in the secluded area.

“We started getting calls from the neighbors about a certain group of these, I’ll use the word, YouTubers,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told KVOA Wednesday.

“The complaints got to be pretty egregious in that the behavior of those individuals was becoming pretty scary, pretty frightful to the neighborhood.”

Some complaints seemed to target a particular YouTuber, Alexander Zabel, who Nanos’ office said was living in a tent on Guthrie’s street — and had been seen urinating in the open and dumping bottles of his urine on neighbors’ properties.

It was that incident which prompted Nanos’ office to crackdown on fame-hungry social media creators who have been shooting content in the sleepy suburban nabe since the 84-year-old Guthrie — mother of “TODAY Show” host Savannah Guthrie — mysteriously vanished on Feb. 1.

The directive began Monday, when three publicity hounds were arrested — Troy Lewis Bradshaw, 34, Todd Enderle, 46, and Zabel, 54 — and booked on charges ranging from being a public nuisance to obstructing a thoroughfare.

“Effective immediately, individuals found in violation of the law may be cited and released on a first offense,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department previously told the Post.

“However, repeat offenders may be arrested and booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of public nuisance.”

Streamers have been flocking to Guthrie’s home near Tucson, with the ongoing search and public fascination with the case turning the crime scene into a draw for social media creators.

Some have even been seen scantily clad while filming outside Guthrie’s house, and police said they’ve fielded “numerous complaints” from neighbors.

The saga surrounding her apparent abduction remains ongoing, with no leads or suspects announced.

Only images of her supposed kidnapper — a masked man filmed on home security cameras apparently breaking into the house on the night she vanished — have been released to the public.
