‘Euphoria’ star Jacob Elordi snaps at fan in Japan in viral video: ‘Don’t touch me, bro’

Jacob Elordi has snapped at a fan in Japan who edged too close to the actor in hopes of a selfie.

The video of the fan encounter has been shared on social media platforms, which shows the “Euphoria” star looking agitated with the fan outside a busy street earlier this week.

“What up, chief?” the fan greeted the 28-year-old outside a restaurant, while placing his arm on Elordi’s back.

“Don’t touch me, bro,” Elordi could be heard responding.

The fan later revealed himself to be Otavio Bittencourt when posting footage of the encounter on his Instagram page with the caption, “Just wanted a picture chief” along with a sad face emoji.

The now-viral video has sparked a debate online. While some fans defended Elordi’s right to privacy and personal boundaries, others felt his snappy response was uncalled for.

“The fan was probably just excited,” one social media user wrote, while another added, “I understand boundaries, but the response felt a little cold.”

Those in support of the “Frankenstein” star — who is currently in Japan on vacation with his new girlfriend Kendall Jenner — were just as loud.

“Secondhand embarrassment and not because of Jacob. Why do you touch unsolicited people on the streets?” one wondered online as another commented, “Totally agree. Jacob had every right to react the way he did. Touching another individual is not without intention!! If you want a photo? Just ask! Jacob was aware of your presence. So why the touch?? You wanted to touch him!!”

A third person raged, “Why are you touching him. Don’t touch random people like wtf. Why do people think this is ok. The patience he must have, too many people up in his space.”

Elordi is known to value his personal space when out in public. Back in December, he also got into a tense exchange with a photographer in Paris when making his way through Gare du Nord train station.

“Jacob, we love you,” the photographer could be heard telling the actor, who was flanked by security guards at the time.

Elordi then removed one of his earphones and said, “You make it really hard for me to live.”

After the photographer repeated, “We love you,” the Australian star replied, “I don’t love you,” adding yet again, “You make it really hard for me to live.”

Two months prior to that exchange, he also got into a heated confrontation with an official on the Venice Film Festival red carpet.

A video of the interaction went viral showing Elordi interacting with fans before an official appears to hurry him along.

“I’m going to take a picture right here,” the defiant “Saltburn” actor told the festival staff member while posing for a selfie with a fan.

As he signed autographs and posed for more photos, Elordi again sternly addressed the official, “Don’t ever tell me what to do.”
