Like they do before every matchup, the Knicks released a list of the celebrities attending the first N.B.A. finals game at Madison Square Garden on Monday — and this list is longer than usual, with about 90 names.
There are Hollywood stars: Timothée Chalamet, Tina Fey, Josh Safdie, Ben Stiller and Greta Gerwig. Spike Lee, the film director and avid Knicks fan, is also there, wearing a jersey signed by Pope Leo.
There are comedians: Jon Stewart, Pete Davidson, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock.
There’s New York sports royalty: the former Yankees players Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, the former Giants stars Eli Manning and Justin Tuck, and Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor of the New York Mets.
And there are musicians: DJ Khaled, Cardi B and Fat Joe, among many, many more.
