Jennifer Lopez breaks down exactly how she avoided raising ‘spoiled’ kids as twins head to college

Don’t be fooled by the rocks that she got.

Jennifer Lopez revealed how she avoided raising her twin children, Max and Emme, to be “spoiled” as they head to college.

During an appearance on Monday night’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” host Andy Cohen asked the “Selena” actress what the “best piece of advice” she has to avoid spoiling your kids.

“I mean, they do what they see you do,” Lopez, who shares the 18-year-old twins with ex-husband Marc Anthony, replied.

“So, it’s not so much what you tell them all the time. Even though I’m trying to download everything I’ve ever learned in my life, every lesson … to them right now … before they leave [for college] in August, I still feel like who you are as a person, how you act, what they see you do, if you work hard, they become more hard workers,” the “I’m Real” singer, 56, added.

Lopez said kids “mimic” their parents “in this weird way” and “learn” from them even if they will “act like they’re opposite.”

“Because my kids [are] like, ‘I don’t want to be anything like you. I want to have my own path,’” she shared.

“They see this persona as such a thing. And but I also see them like mimic, not mimic, but just pick up things that are the good things or the good traits about you,” the mom of two added.

Lopez and Anthony, 57, welcomed their twins in February 2008. The musicians were married for 10 years before they divorced in 2014.

Last month, their child Emme debuted a new name, Oskar Muñiz, at the teen’s high school graduation ceremony at Windward School in Los Angeles.

The “Hustlers” actress said her twins have been accepted into all five colleges they applied to and received scholarships.

“I watched how hard they worked, from the time they were like … when school gets serious in the fifth grade, and they just worked hard,” she said in a recent interview with “Extra.”
