For the first time, TIME and Statista are awarding the “America’s Top WorkTech Companies”. The ranking awards companies dedicated to the development and provision of workplace technologies, encompassing both software and hardware and covering areas such as HR technology, workforce management, employee experience, learning and development, and workplace operations.

Methodology

Statista gathered and scrutinized data from ~5,000 U.S. companies through desk research, online application forms and collaborations with other data and market intelligence companies.

The ranking is built on two pillars: financial strength and industry impact. Each company received a score in both dimensions, and these scores were combined into an overall score.

Within the scoring model, Key Performance Indicators are evaluated to determine America’s Top WorkTech Companies 2026. From a pool of thousands of companies with their HQ in the U.S. and primarily focusing on developing and providing workplace related technologies, products or services, Statista ranked companies based on financial strength (50% of the score) and industry impact (50% of the score).

For the evaluation of the financial strength, Statista analyzed data such as revenue, funding and market capitalization data, obtained from publicly available sources like annual reports, company websites, through media monitoring, and via databases as well as, company disclosures submitted via an online application form, which was freely accessible via the TIME website to narrow down companies that have performed above average on financial metrics in their geographical region.

For the evaluation of the industry impact, Statista cooperated with The Upright Project to quantify the holistic impact of a company’s product and service portfolio, including its alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and LexisNexis® Intellectual Property Solutions to analyze the quantity and impact of a company’s IP (intellectual property) portfolio. In addition, Statista researched various metrics around web traffic, to assess the relevance of the company to the respective target groups. The companies that were financially strong were then filtered by those that performed well on industry impact in their respective categories.

The 250 companies with the highest scored were named to “America’s Top WorkTech Companies of 2026“
