President Trump posted several mock-up images of the “drone port” he hopes to build at the top of the proposed White House ballroom over the weekend — while taking a jab at the judge who is trying to delay construction.
“The DronePort at the White House Ballroom will be, perhaps, the most sophisticated anywhere in the World!” Trump boasted on Truth Social. “It will safeguard our Nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C., long into the future.
“Judge Richard Leon should stop playing games with America’s Security! If anything happens, he will be held responsible for the Death and Destruction caused to our Country,” the president warned.

Trump posted three different pictures of the drone port, each showing various UAVs parked at the top of the ballroom roof with armed soldiers guarding the tech.
The president has insisted that the drone port is necessary to protect the ballroom and the White House, telling reporters last week that its inclusion would make the structure a “shield” for the capital.
Despite Trump’s insistence, Leon — an appointee of former President George W. Bush — ruled in April that the administration lacked legal authority to build the ballroom without congressional approval.
While Leon issued an injunction to halt all “above -ground construction of the planned ballroom,” the order was itself put on hold by an appeals court, with construction carrying on for now.

Along with condemning Leon, Trump also went after Alison Hoagland, the woman who helped the National Trust for Historic Preservation file its lawsuit to stop the ballroom construction.
“[Leon] has already created enough problems by allowing “Top Secret” information to be released and exposed based on a ridiculous lawsuit started by a highly litigious woman (serial plaintiff!) whose “strolling,” in her opinion, will be disturbed by the new, desperately needed structure,” Trump wrote.
“In any event, a woman who has absolutely no STANDING! With the advent of highly sophisticated, and powerful, modern day weaponry, we can no longer defend Washington, D.C., with rifles and pistols, alone. This ridiculous lawsuit must be dismissed, IMMEDIATELY!” he added.
The Department of Justice sent over another request to Leon last week asking him to lift the injunction following April’s White House Correspondents’ Association dinner shooting.
Trump’s post on the ballroom came amid a flurry of AI-generated images he shared on Truth Social over the weekend, including one for a personal “golden dome” defense system over the White House.
