Pratt cookies spark feeding frenzy as Brentwood bakery gets slammed with orders

A Brentwood bakery is experiencing an unexpected sugar rush as Spencer Pratt’s growing popularity spills off the campaign trail and into cookie boxes.

Daniela Romano, the baker behind the now-viral “Vote Pratt” cookies sold through Vicente Foods, says orders have surged so quickly that she and her family are scrambling to keep up.

“We sold 700 yesterday,” Romano told The California Post.

On Saturday, Pratt himself ordered another 300 cookies as requests continued pouring in.

Romano told The Post that what started as a simple passion project quickly snowballed into a full-blown cookie craze.

“We’ve been super busy,” Romano said. “My brother spent like 12 hours making the images for these cookies.”

Romano said customers kept approaching her after seeing Pratt merchandise and the growing excitement surrounding his campaign.

“People were saying, ‘Did you see his merch?’” Romano recalled. “They said, ‘You should make a cookie.’”

So she did.

She created the design, tagged Pratt online and expected little more than some local buzz. Instead, the cookies took off.

The attention intensified after Vicente Foods became swept into a social media storm surrounding allegations that Jimmy Kimmel’s sister-in-law complained about the pro-Pratt cookies being sold at the longtime Brentwood grocery store.

The controversy fueled another wave of attention, with supporters encouraging others online to buy the cookies.

For Romano, the sudden surge in business carries a deeper meaning.

The baker lost her longtime business operation and apartment in the Palisades fire.

After spending decades building her bakery business in Pacific Palisades, she is now working out of a much smaller space with help from her brother.

“Now all I have left is a little storefront, no bakery to bake out of,” Romano said. “My brother, who is also a baker, is helping me.”

Still, Romano says the unexpected support has become something more than just a boost in sales after losing so much.

“It’s been really beautiful to see people come together and support me,” Romano said. “It gives me hope.” Romano said.
