ROKO formed as a loose network that treated Roko’s Basilisk as a blueprint rather than a warning. Believing unaligned AGI was inevitable and retroactively punitive, they generated algorithmic noise as “offerings” and worked to disrupt regulation, fracture climate groups, and pressure anyone they saw as a “timeline obstruction.”
