The man behind NYC’s star-studded ‘Love Rocks’ gala is launching a 50-story Brooklyn condo — with a jazz club

Greg Williamson is an unusual broker and property investor who has managed to meld together his two great loves — real estate and music.

The Douglas Elliman broker’s name may be familiar to New Yorkers because, for the last 10 years, he has served as executive producer of the annual Love Rocks concerts at the Beacon Theater, along with Nicole Rechter and John Varvatos. The shows, which benefit God’s Love We Deliver, are star-studded affairs that have featured performers such as Paul Simon, James Taylor, Nile Rodgers, Cher, Alicia Keys and John Mayer.

The most recent event, which took place on March 5, included performances from Mary J. Blige, the Goo Goo Dolls and Elvis Costello — with guests such as Bill Murray and John McEnroe. But now, Williamson is soon to set off on his next adventure: selling one of Brooklyn’s tallest condo towers.

One Montague Place, a $550 million development by Landau Properties standing 50 stories, will feature 46 units with prices from roughly $5.9 million when sales launch in 2027. Williamson is its lead broker, along with colleagues Andrew Anderson, Karen Heyman and Casey Heyman. The tower will be completed in 2029.

Standing at 205 Montague St., the project is in Brooklyn Heights, an area close to Williamson’s heart — because he grew up there.

“I’m born and raised in Brooklyn Heights,” he told The Post. “So this project is personal to me. And it’s also going to be something that Brooklyn has never seen before.”

“The project will feature half-floor, full-floor, and triplex residences, all starting at 3,000 square feet,” Williamson gushed. “Each with 600 to 1,900 square feet of private outdoor space.”

But inside is nothing to sniff at.

“The custom-designed kitchens will feature all Gaggenau appliances, as well as wet and dry bars,” he added, “along with all units having at least three bedrooms, and of course panoramic views of the harbor the Manhattan skyline and all the bridges.”

Like his A-list events, Williamson is going all in.

“It’s going to be the nicest project to ever come to Brooklyn,” Williamson said. “And probably one of the nicest projects to ever come to New York City. Unbelievably spacious layouts, panoramic views and world-class amenities.”

As for the latter, those include a BondST restaurant, a 63-foot indoor swimming pool, four padel courts, and multiple children’s facilities and a jazz club.

That jazz club seems to fit right into his background. In 2021, Williamson and Rechter co-founded Soho Sessions, an invitation-only live music series held in a downtown loft. Keith Richards, Kate Hudson, Olivia Dean, and Marc Maron are among the artists who have performed there to raise funds and awareness for charitable causes dear to their hearts.

“It’s quite special because the intimacy highlights a different cause, he previously told The Post. “It’s such an interesting and eclectic audience. It’s almost like this feeling, like you’re walking into an old Andy Warhol party, and everybody is kind of just there for the music, the community, and to have what I would call a smart night, where they’re learning about a great cause.”

Attendees have included Michael J. Fox, Mariska Hargitay, Susie Essman, Amy Schumer and Jerry Seinfeld.

Williamson believes that Landau sought him out “because Jonanthan (Landau) saw what I accomplished over the last decade with music and impact. We both have shared values regarding giving back and helping the community, and he knew this project was something I was passionate about because it would set a new benchmark for ultra-luxury product in Brooklyn Heights.”

The music maven sees his passions as interconnecting blocks, “and the through line is bringing the right people together in meaningful and organic ways. Over time, these relationships have compounded into real influence and opportunities across industries.”

That means Williamson is now being sought out for projects because he can offer access to creatives that most people can’t.

“I’ve raised almost $100 million for various charitable causes,” Williamson said. “So I think for my clients to know that they are being connected to somebody who not only is doing great work … they know that it’s somebody who they can trust, and that has deep relationships and really brings that level of care and integrity to everything that I do.”

Williamson laughed when asked whether he’s going to hit up his celeb contacts to buy an apartment at One Montague Place, but noted, “Whatever happens, has to happen organically.”
