Bill Maher and the comedian David Cross butted heads as they clashed over transgender politics and the so-called “looney left” – before the podcast host quipped “Good luck with President Vance.”
The duo exchanged a war of words on Maher’s podcast “Club Random” Monday over transgender women competing in female sports before Cross casually mentioned his daughter, 9, had transgender pals in the third grade, sparking further debate.
Cross had already admitted he lives in a “bubble” – and said he wants to protect his daughter from the “s–t” on the outside – which saw the conversation move onto trans rights and trans women in female sports.

Maher recalled an anecdote from Democratic lawmaker Seth Moulton (D-Ma), who has clashed with his party over transgender women participating in female sports.
“He said ‘Look I don’t want my 12-year-old daughter to be on the soccer field and be run over by someone who’s identifying as a woman but is really a boy… and a lot of people applauded him for that,” Maher said.
“I mean, we saw in the Olympics a okay, born a man, now fighting as a woman boxer just beat the dog s–t out of a woman, the other boxer. A lot of people were disturbed by that.
“It’s very disturbing to watch because it’s a man beating the s–t out of a woman. I’m just saying there’s stuff inside the bubble that could be bad.”
Cross claimed he’s seen pre-pubescent girls “kick the s–t out of boys” as he tried to challenge the host.
“This is what’s wrong with the looney left, they just die on the hills that are unnecessary to die on,” Maher said.
Later on in the show, Cross mentioned how his daughter has transgender friends at school.
“Wait, she has trans friends in third grade?” Maher quizzically asked. “They know they’re trans in third grade?”

Maher tried to argue that children of that age are not old enough to decide what gender they want to be.
“I knew somebody who said to me, a woman said ‘I was with what they called a tomboy. If I was alive now and acted the way I did then, that’s what they would have done to me,’” he said, recalling a past conversation.
“Well nobody’s doing this to her,” Cross said.
“Somebody is doing something because 8 or 9-year-olds can’t do anything on their own,” Maher clapped back.
After they agreed to disagree, Maher quipped: “Good luck with President Vance.
“As I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person. You’re just why she lost. This is a case of that.”
Cross was visibly stunned as he said: “Wait, what?”
“We voted for the same person, You’re just why she lost,” Maher repeated.
“America hears this and they’re going to go ‘Bill’s right, eight-year-olds can’t really make decisions on their own like this.
“That’s what most people are going to say. And this is where the Democrats are with David Cross living in Brooklyn with Mamdami loving, and this is why, you know, we’re going to vote for JD Vance. That’s America in a nutshell.”
