Senator sounds alarm over worrying new Trump video: ‘Should be a story the press covers’

Donald Trump appears to be falling asleep in public, and the media should mention it, a senator said on Saturday.

The alarm comes after independent journalist Aaron Rupar shared a video of Trump with his eyes closed during a meeting in the president’s office.

“Trump is about to hit REM on camera during an Oval Office event. It’s just incredible,” Rupar wrote. In the video, Trump keeps his eyes closed or almost closed for 45 seconds while others speak.

That led to Senator Chris Murphy reacting online and calling for news coverage.

“Feels like this should be a story the press covers,” Murphy wrote Saturday.
