Two trains collided head-on in the Copenhagen region of Denmark on Thursday, leaving 17 people hospitalized, four of them critically injured, the authorities said.

Rescue workers were alerted to the collision, between two local trains north of the town of Hillerod, at 6:30 a.m., the emergency services for the capital region said on social media.
