Tiger Woods’ post-treatment career plans revealed after DUI arrest

Tiger Woods is reportedly planning a return to golf once he completes treatment following his shocking car crash and DUI arrest in Florida last month.

An insider close to the 50-year-old golf great opened up about Woods’ post-treatment career plans and how he “desperately” wants to return to the sport during a chat with People published Sunday.

“He knows he needs to beat his issues and also deal with the pain from not only playing golf but also from his regular fitness schedule,” the source explained.

“People around him are supporting him, both personally and professionally,” they added. “All of this is helping him deal with it enough to get through it.”

Another insider told the outlet that Woods “still has golf in him,” including at least one more Masters and other PGA tournaments, even if his various injuries and older age have made playing “harder” for him.

“He just wants to get better in all areas of his life,” the source said.

A rep for Woods did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

The five-time Masters champ was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DUI with property damage after crashing and rolling over his Land Rover SUV in Jupiter Island, Florida, on March 27.

Police said the golf pro showed “signs of impairment” and declined a urinalysis test despite showing a negative breathalyzer test, resulting in a refusal to submit to a lawful test charge.

Page Six obtained a police report from the incident, in which cops claimed they found “two white pills” said to be hydrocodone inside Woods’ left pants pocket.

Authorities also noted that Woods’ pupils were “extremely dilated” and his eyes appeared to be “bloodshot and glassy,” which still appeared to be the case when he posed for his mugshot.

Body cam footage from the scene also showed Woods failing a sobriety test, hiccuping and yawning while talking to the police after the scary rollover crash.

He was ultimately taken into custody and placed behind bars at the Martin County Jail before being released early in the morningof March 28.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods wrote in a statement to X shortly after pleading not guilty on March 31.

“I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health,” he continued. “This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

The golf great’s private jet reportedly landed in Zurich, Switzerland, on April 3 after he was granted permission from a judge to travel outside of Florida for treatment.

An insider said that the mom of five “has been in favor” of the embattled pro athlete’s decision to receive “private treatment” outside of the Sunshine State.

“She still supports this and supports him,” the source told People Sunday. “She loves him and knows that private treatment was necessary.”

They added, “Vanessa suffered through some rough spots but has always been on his side even when she worried about him.”
