Christina Applegate is feeling “better every day” after her recent hospitalization.
“Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes. Health issues are a constant for me, but I’m a strong chick and I’m getting stronger and better every day,” she wrote via Instagram Monday.
“I’m taking a moment to focus on my health, but I’ll be back with more to say soon enough.”
Applegate, 54, seemed to be back at home based on the Monday upload, as she posted a photo of a coffee mug and her new memoir, “You With the Sad Eyes.”

Applegate, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, was hospitalized in Los Angeles late last month, though it was unclear if the reason had anything to do with her autoimmune disease.
“I have no comment on whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,” a rep for the actress told Page Six in a statement at the time. “She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.”
Days later, it was reported that those close to the “Married … With Children” alum were fearing the worstfor the star amid her “hellish” hospital stay.
“With every setback, if we are being realistic, everyone has it in the back of their minds that they might not have a tomorrow with her,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Christina is a fighter, but her battle with MS has been treacherous. She has better days and really bad days; she doesn’t have great days. She’s always dealing with something. It sucks.”

The insider noted that Applegate “has so many friends that are there for her, even to listen to her, cry with her and anything in between.”
Ever since Applegate revealed her MS diagnosis, the actress has been extremely candid about her health journey.
In her new memoir she detailed the “dangerous” and “scary” weight loss she’s experienced due to MS.
“Then I was put on a clear‑liquid diet because of my stomach issues, and all of a sudden, everything just dropped off of me,” she writes. “Within seven months, all of it was gone, and I was down by 50 pounds or more. These days, my legs are tinier than they’ve ever been.”

In February, Applegate heartbreakingly shared that she was confined to her beddue to ongoing pain while talking about how she still tries to take her daughter, Sadie, to school.
“I want to take her; it’s my favorite thing to do. It’s the only time we have together by ourselves,” she told People. “I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that’s what I do.”
“My life isn’t wrapped up with a bow,” she contined. “People’s lives, sorry for lack of a better term, f–king suck sometimes. So I’m being as honest and raw as I possibly can.”
