‘Holy hell’: Trump’s bizarre ad-lib fuels cognitive health concerns

President Donald Trump was brutally mocked on Thursday after a bizarre ad-lib during a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Trump traveled to the Silver State to stump for his “no tax on tips” policy and to hear from some voters about how it has impacted their lives. During his speech, he said his “One Big, Beautiful Bill” had lowered taxes for small businesses and “corner stores,” a phrase that seemed to trip up the president.

“Corner stores? What the hell is a corner store?” Trump said. “I know what a corner store is, but I’ve never heard it referred to that way. Who the hell wrote that?”

Trump’s comment drew mockery from political analysts and observers alike, who shared their reactions on social media.

“Holy hell. This is behavioral frontotemporal dementia, in a little-embarrassing nutshell,” Jim Stewartson, a writer, posted on X. “Memory loss, disinhibition, impulsivity, lack of judgement, inappropriate behavior in public settings. The max dose of Adderall doesn’t help.”

“It’s never been more obvious as he attempts to speed read this script someone wrote for him that he can’t stand the affordability subject and doesn’t even want to do this event because he is completely disconnected from the lives of average Americans and couldn’t care less,” Ron Filipkowski, editor-in-chief of MeidasTouch.com, posted on X.

“It’s hard to imagine another 80-year-old guy from Queens who doesn’t know what a corner store is,” lawyer Jeffrey Evan Gold posted on X.

“Omg,” foreign policy reporter Laura Rozen posted on X.
