MAGA Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) had her words thrown back in her face on Thursday after telling her colleagues to “go to church.”
Boebert made the comments to reporters after being asked about recent sexual misconduct investigations into two members of the House. Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Tony Gonzales (R-TX) resigned from Congress this week because of allegations of sexual misconduct. Boebert has said she will push to strip both lawmakers of their taxpayer-funded pensions.
“Go to church. Find Jesus. Why is everybody so horny here?” Boebert said before storming off.
Political analysts and observers reacted to Coebert’s comments on social media.
“I genuinely never really held this against her personally, but didn’t she get kicked out of a showing of Beetlejuice,” Kylie Cheung, a Brooklyn-based writer, posted on X, referring to Boebert’s fondling scandal in Denver.
“By church, she means the next Beetlejuice matinee,” author Shannon Watts posted on X.
“Irony shot and killed by Lauren Boebert on Capitol Hill, “Jack Cocchiarella, a progressive political YouTuber, posted on X.
“Well, there’s a lack of self-awareness…” retired Navy intel officer Travis Akers posted on X.
