A Fox News reporter was forced to admit to viewers on Wednesday that American enemies are helping Iran target U.S. troops.
Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin told viewers of “Special Report” with host Bret Baier that the station had confirmed exclusive reporting from the Financial Times that showed Iran was receiving spy satellites from China, and the intel from which has been used to attack American military troops in the region. The report adds to a growing account that suggests President Donald Trump may be ignoring the impact adversarial countries like Russia and China are having in the war in Iran.
“The IRGC obtained access to the Chinese satellite shortly after its launch and apparently tasked it with monitoring U.S. military sites before and after drone and missile strikes on the U.S. bases,” Griffin said.
Last month, reports from NBC News and the Washington Post indicated that Russia was giving Iran intel about U.S. military operations. Reuters has also reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to be involved in resolving the war in Iran.
The reports were published at a time when Trump was facing significant criticism over his handling of the war in Iran. So far, 13 U.S. soldiers have been killed, and several more have been wounded by retaliatory strikes. Global energy prices have also skyrocketed because of Iran’s continued closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
