Investigators believe that Nancy Guthrie’s abduction could have been the result of a botched robbery instead of a planned kidnapping, according to a report.
An inside source in the investigation told AZFamilythat the 84-year-old’s kidnapping appeared to be a burglary gone wrong.
The unnamed source also told the outlet that there is a widespread belief among investigators that Nancy could still be alive.
The development comes as the investigation into Nancy’s disappearance stretches into its 15th day, with her famous daughter Savannah Guthrie releasing a videoto Instagram pleading with her mother’s kidnapper to “do the right thing” and come forward.
