White House admits to wrongly accusing man of child sex crimes in shocking error

The White House deleted a post on its X account after mistakenly labeling Victor Manuel Carranza, a Honduran convicted of larceny and identity theft, as a child sex offender. The post, part of a series highlighting “worst of the worst” immigrants arrested in Minnesota, had been viewed over 257,000 times and widely shared before the error was caught by NOTUS. While officials acknowledged the swap of images, the administration has offered no apology, insisting it will continue publicizing arrests of undocumented immigrants, despite the high-profile blunder.
