The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said deputies found 4 pounds of methamphetamine, other drugs and a gun after a traffic stop and ensuing search warrant in Victorville Wednesday evening.
The traffic stop of Kim Eldridge, 61, and his 1994 Toyota Camry occurred just after 7:20 p.m. after deputies spotted “California Vehicle Code violations,” officials said in a news release.
At that time, Eldridge had meth and oxycodone in his possession, officials added.
Deputies then searched Eldridge’s home in the 1600 block of Union Street, where they found “four pounds of suspected methamphetamine, Ecstasy pills, and a loaded firearm,” the release said.
Eldridge faces charges of:
- Possession of a controlled substance for sale
- Possession of a controlled substance while armed
- Transportation or sale of methamphetamine
- Felon in possession of a firearm
He’s being held in lieu of $40,000 bail at the High Desert Jail, and he’s due to appear in Victorville Superior Court on Monday.
