EXCLUSIVE: Revenge is a dish best served by Deadline. We’ve got a batch of first-look images for The Revenge Club, the Paramount+ UK & Ireland dark comedy-drama from Gaumont and writer Gabbie Asher.
The series follows a group of lonely, hapless strangers brought together by a divorce support group who, despite little common ground, form an unlikely bond and come up with a plan to take revenge on the people who broke their hearts. What starts as a cathartic process spirals out-of-control, as the line between justice and madness blurs.
The pics we’ve got show lead stars Martin Compston (Line of Duty, Mayflies) and Aimée-Ffion Edwards (Slow Horses, Peaky Blinders) in a series of situations, including in deep discussion in a darkened pub amd hiding behind a car in heightened states.
They feature alongside Meera Syal (Mrs Sidhu Investigates, The Kumars at No. 42), Sharon Rooney (Barbie, Daddy Issues), Douglas Henshall (Shetland, Who is Erin Carter?), Chaneil Kular (Sex Education, Protection) and Amit Shah (Mr Bates vs. The Post Office, Happy Valley).

The story is based on J.D. Pennington’s novel The Othello Club, and was adapted for TV by The Girlfriend lead writer Asher, who also has credits for Heidi, Sanctuary, Dangerous Liaisons, The Tattooist of Auschwitz and Riviera among others. Matt Jones and Adam Usden have also written episodes.
Gaumont UK is producing in association with Fremantle, which has international sales rights. Asher is exec producer alongside Pennington and Gaumont execs Alison Jackson and Jess Connell. Tim Kirkby is the lead director alongside Daniel O’Hara, and Margot Gavan Duffy is the producer.
