EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios‘ Road House 2 has added three new cast members: Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor (Violent Night 2), Iko Uwais (The Raid films), and Hidetoshi Nishijima (Drive My Car).

Character details are under wraps. The news follows Deadline’s scoop yesterday that six real-life fighters — Rico Verhoeven, Michael Chandler, Michael “Venom” Page, Dustin Poirier, Stephen Thompson, and Tyron Woodley — have joined the cast of the fighting-themed actioner, alongside Jay Hieron, who will reprise his role as UFC fighter Jax “Jetway” Harris from the first film.

Plot specifics for the sequel, which sees Jake Gyllenhaal return as UFC fighter–turned–bouncer Dalton, remain under wraps. But the film is said to be a production of greater scope, scale, and ambition, with filming taking place across the U.K., Malta, and Savannah, Georgia. The sequel follows 2024’s Road House — Amazon’s reboot of the ’80s classic starring Patrick Swayze — which drew 80 million viewers worldwide in its first eight weeks on Prime Video.

Ilya Naishuller is directing Road House 2 from a script by Will Beall. As previously announced, the cast also includes Leila George, Aldis Hodge, and Dave Bautista. Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Alex Gartner are producing alongside Nine Stories Productions’ Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh McLaughlin, who are under a three-year first-look film deal with Amazon MGM.

Best known as King Bach, Bachelor has evolved from a breakout digital creator into an in-demand actor, producer, and comedian. He recently wrapped Violent Night 2 for Universal and 87North and will star in the upcoming Paramount+ comedy series Hate the Player: The Ben Johnson Story. He is repped by CAA, Christina Bachelor, Artists First, and Hansen Jacobson Teller.

Uwais is known for headlining the Indonesian Raid films from Gareth Evans. His other credits include The Night Comes for Us, Headshot, and major Hollywood projects such as Mile 22, Stuber, Snake Eyes, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and The Expendables 4. Uwais also executive produced, choreographed, and starred in Netflix’s Wu Assassins and made his directorial debut with the upcoming action feature Timur, releasing December 18. He is repped by Gersh and Vault Entertainment.

Nishijima, who starred in the Oscar-winning Drive My Car from Ryusuke Hamaguchi, recently made his English-language debut in Apple TV’s A24 series Sunny. He’s since reteamed with A24 on Henry Dunham’s Enemies and just wrapped Nicolas Winding Refn’s Her Private Hell for Neon. He is repped by CAA, Artist International Group, Greenberg Traurig, and Elephant Inc. in Japan.
