Laurie Orlando, who has served as senior vice president of talent strategy and development at CBS News and Stations, is departing the network.

Orlando announced her exit in a memo to employees on Monday.  She joined CBS News in January 2016 after serving as a top executive for ESPN, where she oversaw talent recruitment and development since 2008.

Her exit follows others in the news division under new owners Skydance-Paramount and a new boss, Bari Weiss, named editor in chief of the news division last month. Last week, Paramount went through a round of layoffs, with almost 100 in the news division impacted. Other recent exits have included Claudia Milne, who headed standards and practices, and John Dickerson, the CBS Evening News co-anchor who said the he would leave the network at the end of the year.

The departure of the network’s top talent executive underscores the extent to which the new owners of the network plan to overhaul the division, with the expectation that CBS Evening News will get a revamp. Status reported that Weiss had expressed interest in names including Bret Baier, although he noted that his contract with Fox News runs through 2028.
