PHOENIX — Arizona state leaders have introduced a new initiative called ArrayRx to help residents save on prescription medications.

Through the free ArrayRx Discount Card, Arizonans — regardless of age or income — can:

  • Access savings of up to 80% on FDA-approved prescriptions.
  • Get savings of up to 18% for name-brand drugs.
  • Select over-the-counter drugs or diabetes supplies.
  • Get specialty and mail-order medications.

ArrayRx is free, easy to use and does not sell user data, according to Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs.

“At a time when prescription drug prices are too high, we are giving Arizonans access to lower prices,” Hobbs said in a Monday announcement. “I encourage all Arizonans to sign up for a card so they can save money on their medications.”

How to get the ArrayRx Discount Card to save money on prescriptions

Residents can sign up online to receive a unique ArrayRx Discount Card, which can be downloaded for digital use or printed as a physical copy. Either version can be presented at any of the 64,000+ participating pharmacies nationwide, including about 1,200 in Arizona.

  • Gov. Katie Hobbs worried US health care headed in wrong direction
  • Arizona man sentenced to 3.5 years for defrauding medical practice where he worked

ArrayRx members also get a personalized dashboard to:

  • Share their digital ID with pharmacists.
  • View prescription history with dates, costs, and details.
  • Check medication prices before filling a prescription.

The program adds security for those facing insurance gaps or managing long-term medications, according to Reginald Williams, an administrator for the Arizona Department of Health Services’ Office of Health Engagement and Impact.

“AZRx is a critical new tool to provide more affordable prescription drugs and over-the-counter medications to Arizonans,” Williams said. “Every Arizonan should enroll for the opportunity of cost savings.”

The ArrayRx Discount Card became available in Arizona after Gov. Katie Hobbs signed an executive order in August, joining the state to the ArrayRx program, a multistate nonprofit consortium aimed at lowering prescription drug prices for residents.
