EXCLUSIVE: Alan Cumming‘s Just For Laughs gala special is set for Canada’s Crave and CTV Comedy.
One Night Out with Alan Cumming, filmed live in front of an audience during the Just For Laughs Montréal festival on July 26, will see the Traitors and The Good Wife star joined by comedy talent from around the world. No release date has been set.
The special was previously known as the JFLGBTQ+ Gala Hosted By Alan Cumming. It will feature 2SLGBTQIA+ stars, with guests including Mae Martin, Sabrina Jalees, Jay Jurden, Tranna Wintour, Joe Dombrowski, Irene Tu, Dan Duvall and Sami Landri.
Canada’s Got Talent producer Trevor Boris is the showrunner and executive producer.
Cumming recently won his second Outstanding Host Emmy last month for the U.S. version of Traitors, in which he is the host. The presenter and actor is also fronting a six-part doc series about Club Cumming, his gay bar and nightclub in New York. The show will roll out on WOW Presents Plus in 2026. Cumming is also presenting the fourth season of Traitors for Peacock.
“We are so excited to bring the genius that is Alan Cumming to Canadians across the country,” said Sylvain Parent-Bédard, President and CEO of Just For Laughs. “Our partnership with Bell Media allows us to share the energy, talent, and diversity of the Just For Laughs Festival with a national audience. These collaborations are essential in helping us amplify bold voices in comedy and make world-class performances accessible far beyond the live stage.”
One Night Out with Alan Cumming will sit alongside the likes of Roast Battle Canada Season 5 that were filmed during the festival for Bell Media’s streamer Crave and speciality network CTV Comedy.
The Just For Laughs festival was created back in 1983, and has been a part of the Just For Entertainment Group since 1997.
