PHOENIX — From a “once in a generation home” to authorities issuing a Turquoise Alert for a missing 16-year-old girl, here are some of the top Arizona news stories from Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

‘Once-in-a-generation home’ in Chandler off the market in 6 days

A home in the Chandler gated community called The Island at Fulton Ranch recently sold for a record-breaking $6.75 million after just six days on the market.

Cambridge Properties announced the record-breaking sale in a press release on Friday.

“This property was extraordinary in every sense,” Realtor Bill Haley said. “Homes of this scale and craftsmanship are rare in Chandler, and there were few comparable listings to guide valuation. Our team’s deep market knowledge and strategic presentation helped us create momentum immediately.”

It’s a 12,302-square-foot estate on a 1.15-acre lot and has a theater, gym, full sport court, wine cellar, six-car garage, guest suite, wet bar and multiple verandas for entertaining.

The home has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Mesa lures Hadrian’s ‘factory of the future’ with job creation incentives

Hadrian’s new factory in Mesa is projected to create hundreds of jobs. The city and state of Arizona may pay the weapons manufacturer to fill them with locals.

Mesa City Council voted Oct. 20 to sign a development agreement with the company to reimburse $750 for the first 100 employees it hires that live in town, after the plant hits buildout and workforce milestones.

The facility, which will make components of missiles, jets, rockets and other munitions, is expected to begin production in January and reach “full manufacturing capability” in the first quarter of 2026, according to a company spokesperson.

It will occupy 270,000 square feet in The Cubes at Mesa Gateway at 10101 E. Pecos Road, developed by CRG Integrated Real Estate Solutions.

Woman dead following 2-vehicle collision at West Valley intersection

A woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in the West Valley on Friday, authorities said.

The Surprise Police Department identified the deceased woman as 65-year-old Janice Livesay.

Police said officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Waddell Road and Sarival Avenue around 10:29 a.m.

Preliminary information reportedly indicates that one of the vehicles was traveling westbound on Waddell Road and trying to make a turn left onto Sarival Avenue. Meanwhile, the second vehicle was traveling eastbound on Waddell Road when it collided with the first vehicle, which was making a left turn.

The drivers of both cars were taken to a hospital where Livesay died from her injuries.

Police said that speed is a possibly a factor in the fatal crash.

Turquoise Alert issued for missing 16-year-old girl from Mesa

Authorities issued a Turquoise Alert on Sunday morning for a missing 16-year-old girl from Mesa.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said Yolyn Hermios was last seen near Dobson and Broadway roads in Mesa on Saturday around 7 p.m. She has not been seen or heard from since, authorities said.

Hermios is Pacific Islander and is 4 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. She has brown hair with green faded highlights and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, red shorts and black tennis shoes, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said.
