EXCLUSIVE: Taiwan-based Each Other Films, a female-led production company headed by Jacqueline W. Liu and Tiffany Yu-Chia Chen is launching a slate of feature films, series and documentaries aimed at international markets.
The slate includes Spent Bullets, a feature film set to shoot in the U.S. and Taipei, which has been selected for this year’ Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) Pitching, and series The Accidental Influencer: Love Me If You Dare, which is scheduled to premiere on Netflix and Taiwan’s GTV on January 4, 2026.
Based on the bestselling short story collection by Taiwanese author Terao Tetsuya, Spent Bullets follows two Silicon Valley engineers on a road trip to mourn a lost friend only to confront the unspoken secrets that threaten to tear apart the life and values they’ve built. Set to be the feature directorial debut of Henry Tsai, the project will shoot in Silicon Valley, Las Vegas and Taipei and has been selected for both TCCF and Taiwan’s Golden Horse FPP project market this year.
The Accidental Influencer: Love Me If You Dare is a continuation of the Taiwanese comedy franchise following HBO Asia original series The Accidental Influencer, produced by Each Other Films in 2024, about a group of friends navigating modern-day romance and dating. The new series reunites original cast members Kuo Shu-Yao, Yao Chun-Yao, Ke-Fang Sun, Aviis Zhong, Ken Lin and Zhan Huai-Yun. Chiung-wen Chang is directing the 12 x 30-minute series.
Also on the slate is feature documentary Heals, directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Pailin Wedel (Hope Frozen) about Taiwanese-Thai drag performer Pangina Heals, known from RuPaul’s Drag Race Thailand. Produced by Each Other Films and Thailand’s N8 Studios in association with World of Wonder, the film celebrates Heals’ career while also offering a portrait of identity and community in Southeast Asia’s vibrant drag scene.
Rounding out the slate is big-budget Taiwanese action adventure film The Odd Three: Madam Tiger, set to be directed by Joseph Chen-Chieh Hsu (Little Big Women, Double Happiness), which reimages iconic folklore figures as empowered modern legends. Currently in development, the film is intended to be the first in a new, pan-Asian character universe.
Founded in 2017 by producers Liu and Chen, Each Other Films focuses on emotionally resonant, gender-fluid and internationally relevant storytelling. In addition to the first season of The Accidental Influencer, the company’s credits include Dreams In Nightmares, which played in Panorama at this year’s Berlin film festival; Penguin Girl, which played as the opening film at last year’s Kaohsiung Film Festival; and award-winning hit film Little Big Women (2020).
“I’ve always believed that a story rooted in a specific place, language, or authentic human connections can still move people everywhere,” said Liu. “That’s the power of cinema – it turns the personal into the universal. As we enter this next phase, I’m excited to expand what that means, especially across genre, scale, and collaboration.”
Chen added: “Building a production company means knowing where you want to go, and choosing the right stories and people to take you there. We’ve spent the past seven years building trust — with creators, with partners, and with each other. Now, we’re ready to scale. The future of Asian storytelling is global, and we’re here to be part of that shift.”
