The holiday season is fast approaching at Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain, as both theme parks prepare to transform into immersive winter wonderlands.

Here’s a breakdown of the seasonal festivities happening at each park.

Knott’s Merry Farm

Knott’s Berry Farm will soon transform into Knott’s Merry Farm, beginning Nov. 21 through Jan. 4. Guests can look forward to the return of beloved traditions, such as Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas and the Snow and Glow experience.

A new Christmas tree, adorned with more than 7,000 twinkling lights, 100 hand-crafted candles, and vintage Victorian-inspired wood ornaments, will be the park’s centerpiece for the holiday season.

In Ghost Town, Christmas in Calico and the Snow and Glow show will illuminate the streets with thousands of synchronized lights set to Christmas music while “snow” gently falls. The Wilderness Dance Hall will once again become Santa’s Christmas Cabin, offering photo ops with Santa Claus and his friends.

“A Calico Christmas Carol,” along with “The Gift of the Magi, 1885,” will play at the Bird Cage Theatre. Guests can also enjoy listening to the Ghost Town Carolers as they sing Victorian-era carols. The Calico Mine Stage will host “Home for the Holidays,” a high-energy show featuring holiday songs and dance.

“Snoopy’s Night Before Christmas,” a retelling of “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” will return to the Walter Knott Theater.

The Fiesta Plaza Stage will feature bands Adelaide Pilar and Junio performing Latin Caribbean, New York salsa and Top 40 hits. Guests can also browse Knott’s Christmas Crafts Village, where local artisans will offer a variety of handmade gifts, ranging from chainsaw carvings to glass-blown ornaments.

Festive food offerings will include chicken tamale fries, a turkey corn dog with stuffing-seasoned batter and gingerbread cheesecake dip with Nilla wafers. Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant will serve shareable seasonal items such as a turkey club “jumbowich.”

Magic Mountain’s Holiday in the Park

At Six Flags Magic Mountain, Holiday in the Park will return with dazzling lights, live shows and festive food. Each evening will kick off with a new Tree Lighting Ceremony in the DC Universe area, featuring dancers and singers. The seasonal activities run from Nov. 27 through Jan. 4.

Also debuting this year is “Oh Santa! A Holiday Spectacular,” hosted by Jack Frost and his sidekick, Snickerdoodle, and starring the Snow Belles and Holly Jollies. The show combines music, dance and comedy with messages of giving, peace and joy.

Returning favorites include Reindeer Dash, a lively show featuring Santa’s reindeer, and HollyRock!, a 1950s-themed rockabilly holiday performance in the Gleampunk District.

Guests can also stroll through Holiday Square, decorated with hundreds of thousands of lights and falling snowflakes. Guests can also enjoy a light show at Wishing Ridge, live music at Peppermint Path, and dancing 30-foot-tall ornaments at Jingle Bell Way.

Families can meet Santa, do crafts with Mrs. Claus, enjoy holiday photo opportunities, visit the wish list stations, ride on the North Pole Express and more at Holiday Village.

At Six Flags, holiday dining will feature dishes such as pozole, a holiday burger with turkey bacon and cranberry aioli, bourbon brown sugar-glazed ribs, s’mores funnel cake, banana pudding and pumpkin pie.
