EXCLUSIVE: Cuba Gooding Jr. has joined the cast of Ali Zamani’s neo-noir fantasy thriller, Angels In Darkness, which is now filming across multiple locations in London.
The film reunites Gooding Jr. and Zamani following their collaboration on Angels Fallen: Warriors of Peace. The film is being produced by Zeus Zamani under his Los Angeles-based banner AZ Filmz, alongside UK producer April Kelley.
The London-set thriller follows a tormented private investigator who uncovers a secret cult’s plot to unleash an ancient force. Angels In Darkness also stars James Oliver Wheatley (The Last Kingdom) in a leading role, alongside Robert Goodman (Gangs of New York) and Agatha Levi. Principal photography is currently underway in London, with a second-unit shoot planned for Abu Dhabi later this year.
“Working with Cuba again is an honor,” Zamani said in a statement. “This project takes our creative collaboration to new depths, exploring redemption and fate through a lens that’s both intimate and epic.”
Producer Zeus Zamani added, “Ali has built a world that’s visually striking and emotionally grounded. With Cuba, James, and this incredible UK team, Angels In Darkness is shaping up to be a globally resonant film that celebrates creativity across borders.”
