PHOENIX – Discount carrier Frontier Airlines will make it easier for Arizonans to attend Mardi Gras by providing nonstop flights to New Orleans during next year’s festival season.
Frontier revealed plans Tuesday for limited-time New Orleans routes in February for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and 11 other U.S. flght hubs.
Service between Phoenix and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport will operate three times a week from Feb. 12 to Feb. 22. Frequency and times are subject to change, the airline said.
“Mardi Gras is one of the most iconic celebrations in the U.S., and we are excited to provide celebrants from across the country with easy, affordable access to the Big Easy this February,” Josh Flyr, the carrier’s vice president of network and operations design, said in a press release.
Where else is Frontier adding 2026 Mardi Gras service?
The Charlotte, Newark, New York JFK, New York LaGuardia, Las Vegas, Chicago O’Hare, Austin, Cincinnati, Washington Dulles, Miami and Tampa airports are also getting limited-time nonstop New Orleans service from Frontier for Mardi Gras.
While Mardis Gras activities actually start in January, the 2026 Fat Tuesday holiday falls on Feb. 17.
