John Oliver returned on Last Week Tonight to censure myriad moves by President Donald Trump‘s administration, including the demolition of the East Wing of the White House and continued boat strikes in the Caribbean Sea.

The late-night host described Trump’s planned 90,000 square foot ballroom — a $300 million endeavor purportedly to be supported by private donations — “in a style best described as ‘medspa Versailles.’”

“The demolition of the White House, a metaphor that, if anything, is too on the nose,” he added.

Oliver also condemned the ongoing military strikes against vessels the government alleges are smuggling drugs to the U.S., which now total over eight such attacks that have claimed the lives of over 40 people.

“The administration’s not provided public evidence for its claims, but even if they have some, I’ve watched enough JAG to know the typical approach to drug boats is to intercept them and arrest the suspects, not murder them with no due process,” the comic said.

Oliver also addressed Trump telling journalists he is considering land strikes “equivalent of what’s happening by sea” in Venezuela, as the POTUS said he will not ask for a declaration of war from Congress but rather, “We’re just gonna kill people. They’re going to be, like, dead.”

“The kind of chilling statement you expect to hear from a serial killer, or the mastermind behind Panera Bread’s charged lemonade,” Oliver remarked.

Harking back to earlier in the program — when he addressed recently-freed, disgraced Congress member George Santos’ bizarre video filmed at IHOP — Oliver said Trump has “appointed himself judge, jury and executioner of foreign citizens, and it is infuriating that neither Congress nor the courts seem to be interested in putting a stop to this because we are supposed to live in a country of checks and balances, and if I may quote IHOP’s new spokesdiva, ‘Where is my fucking check?’”
