MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – For this week’s News 19’s Student of the Week, News 19’s Ellie Byrd headed over to Horizon Elementary School in Madison County to surprise 4th grader Autumn Bell, who might just be the sweetest student in all of Madison County.
Her teachers said that Autumn is highly deserving of this recognition as she consistently demonstrates leadership qualities and has the heart of a future teacher, which is perfect because that’s what she hopes to do in the future!
She is always willing to help others, shows independence in her thinking, and approaches challenges with maturity. Her trustworthiness, kindness, and loving spirit make her a positive influence on everyone around her.
Her favorite subjects are math and science, which her teacher, Mrs. Duffy, is proud of, as she was her teacher in the third grade who taught her those subjects.
“I am so honored to be selected; it shows me all y hard work really is being seen by my friends and teachers,” said Autumn Bell.
Autumn will take on 5th grade next year, and she told us she is more than ready for the next steps of life because of the help she has had this year. She has overcome so much with her learning, and her teachers said they are her biggest fans.
