Multiple California theme parks were named among the most visited theme parks in the world, according to the annual index report released by Themed Entertainment Association/AECOM.
The annual study examines estimated theme park attendance from the previous year at some of the world’s most popular theme park destinations. Typically, companies behind the theme parks don’t disclose official attendance figures.
- Disneyland: 17.3 million visitors, up 0.5% from last year
- Disney California Adventure: 10.1 million visitors, up 0.5% from last year
- Universal Studios Hollywood: 8.7 million visitors, down 9.9% from last year
- Knott’s Berry Farm: 4.5 million visitors, up 6.5% from last year
- SeaWorld San Diego: 4.0 million visitors, up 0.8% from last year
- Six Flags Magic Mountain: 3.3 million visitors, up 0.5% from last year
The most visited theme park globally in 2024 was Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. According to the report, about 17.83 million guests visited the park last year, an increase of 0.7% compared to last year.
The combined attendance at the world’s top 25 theme parks rose 2.4% in 2024 to nearly 246 million visitors, according to the report.
