EXCLUSIVE: Independent Artist Group has promoted Sam Anene and Brett Yalof to agents in the Talent department, the agency’s Head of Global Talent, Andrew Rogers, announced today. Both new agents will be based out of IAG‘s Los Angeles headquarters.
Anene made a rapid rise at IAG, having joined the agency this past summer after spending five years as a coordinator in the Motion Picture Department at CAA, where he built a foundation in representation and packaging across the studio and independent film space. Prior to CAA, he spent three and a half years at ICM Partners. Anene is a native of Los Angeles and graduate of the University of Southern California.
“Sam has come in very well trained and ready for his opportunity here at IAG and came in and made an immediate impact on our department, he has a bright future,” said Rogers.
Joining IAG’s talent department in the summer of 2022, Yalof quickly moved up the ranks from supporting a junior agent to assisting a partner within his first month. In 2024, he was promoted as assistant to Global Head of Talent Rogers before moving to the desk of CEO Jim Osborne. During his time as an assistant, he helped support some of the agency’s top clients including Regina Hall, Nathalie Emmanuel, William H. Macy, Edi Gathegi, and Ken Jeong. Prior to working at IAG, he played a pivotal operational and managerial role in Sean Penn’s non-profit organization, CORE. Yalof is a native of Philadelphia and graduate from Towson University.
Of Yalof, Rogers said, “Brett did a fabulous job working with me for a number of years, his skills were sharpened further working with Jim Osborne. He is already making significant contributions to our department and we couldn’t be happier for his success.”
