Lindsay Dougherty will continue to lead the Hollywood Teamsters for another three years.
Dougherty won her re-election bid as secretary-treasurer of Teamsters Local 399 and will serve through 2028, the group announced Friday. Per Local 399, Dougherty received 70.97% of the vote with 37% voter turnout, or about 1,600 of the roughly 5,700 members.
She also continues to serve as the head of the Teamsters Motion Picture and Theatrical Trades Division and International Teamsters At-Large Vice President.
As for the remainder of the Local 399 leadership, Joshua Staheli, current vice president and business agent, was elevated to president. He is succeeding Kenny Farnell, who is retiring. Trustee Shaun Ryan was elected vice president, and current communications and operations director Amy Gorton was elected recording secretary.
The three people elected to serve as trustees for the term are incumbent Joe Mora, current recording secretary Philip Quansah and locations manager Robert Paulsen.
All elected officials will be sworn into their new positions during the January general membership meeting, per Local 399.
“Teamsters are one of the most democratic Unions. Giving the voting power to our rank-and-file members from contract campaigns to leadership positions both on a Local and International level. I am proud to have the confidence of our members to serve and represent for the next 3-years,” Dougherty said in a statement Friday. “It’s no surprise to industry workers that these last several years have been difficult. The work to stabilize our industry alongside our strong members, and Hollywood Unions and Guilds, continues. Nothing moves without the Teamsters from drivers, locations, casting, caterers and more. Our team is ready to continue the work to fight for and represent our members every day to build a better and stronger future.”
