OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Walton County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a father and son in connection with a child pornography investigation.
According to a WCSO news release, 24-year-old Davvid Bailey and 51-year-old James Johnson have been arrested.
Officials said they received three cyber tips “related to the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in January.
Those tips helped deputies find social media accounts believed to be involved in child pornography soliciting.
WCSO deputies executed a search warrant on Oct. 15 at a home on Peach Tree Street, where they reportedly found Bailey.
“Investigators traced the online activity to Bailey’s residence through subpoenas issued to various internet service providers,” read the release. “During the execution of the search warrant, Bailey was present and provided information regarding his electronic devices.”
Officials said they took multiple electronic devices as part of their investigation.
While searching the devices, the release said they found several child sex abuse material files of children 7 years old and younger.
The search warrant also led officials to find that Johnson, Bailey’s father, did not let officials know about a Facebook account during his court-ordered sex offender registration, according to officials.
Bailey was charged with 30 counts of possession of child pornography and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
Johnson was charged with failure to register as required and providing false information during registration.
