PHOENIX — Kestra Holdings, a national wealth management company, is set to open its secondary headquarters in Tempe, officials announced on Tuesday.
Kestra plans to hire 250 employees for its Tempe headquarters in the next 18-24 months to provide additional support to the financial professionals and firms it serves.
“It’s an exciting time for growth and expansion here at Kestra,” James Poer, chief executive officer of Kestra Holdings, said in a press release.
Kestra has $82 billion in assets under management and employs more than 1,700 financial advisors across the country.
The Tempe headquarters will sit at Rio 2100 east of Rio Salado Parkway and Price Road. It will initially be home to client service and operations teams before additional business operations move in.
The national finance company will maintain its primary headquarters in Austin, Texas.
“Austin will remain a vital hub of innovation and leadership for our company, and Tempe will serve as a complementary center of talent and opportunity,” Poer said in the release. “Together, these locations will strengthen our ability to serve our community of high-performing advisors while fostering the growth of vibrant, collaborative teams in both markets.”
After an analysis of several markets, Kestra chose Tempe because of its “dynamic, diverse and rapidly expanding metro area.”
“Kestra’s decision to establish a major presence in Tempe reflects both the strength of our market and the company’s forward-looking vision for empowering entrepreneurial financial advisors — and, through them, the financial futures of everyday investors,” Tempe Mayor Corey Woods said in the release.
“We are proud to welcome Kestra and look forward to the opportunities this will create for our community.”
