Congratulations to Emily Ratajkowski — she just walked in her first-ever Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!
Featured as part of the brand’s Icon Campaign in 2023, the 34-year-old model was already part of the Victoria’s Secret family. However, she had never appeared on the runway for the legendary lingerie brand. At least, not until tonight.
And what a runway, indeed!
Ratajkowski stepped out on stage wearing a three-dimensional orchid blossom that functioned as the brand’s signature “wings.” The crystal-embellished petals coordinated perfectly with her pale purple bra and underwear set. Matching opera-length gloves and bedazzled over-the-knee lace-up open-toe heels brought the drama.
While this was technically her first live runway show, the 5’7″ model marched down the epic catwalk looking like a true veteran — no first timer’s jitters in sight.
She joined several seasoned angels, including longtime Victoria’s Secret veterans Gigi and Bella Hadid, Adriana Lima, Paloma Esser and Candice Swanepoel.
As a newcomer, she was in good company among WNBA star Angel Reese, Amelia Gray Hamlin and Iris Law.
In 2023, Ratajkowski told Popsugar, “I grew up looking at images of Gisele, Candace, Naomi, and Adriana, so it’s simply surreal to be included in a campaign next to them,” continuing, “Those women were larger than life to me — they still are in many ways — and that’s what it means to be iconic. Their beauty and the images they’ve produced with incredible photographers and designers and teams were and are so artful. They represent so much.”
The sentiment has likely only grown stronger now that she’s finally received her wings.
And we’re delighted to watch her take flight amongst such a well-heeled crew.
