As the holidays approach, Amazon announced it will be filling 250,000 positions across the nation, including tens of thousands of roles in California.
“Excited to share Amazon has announced nearly 30,000 new seasonal roles across California, including up to 3,000 roles available across Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Anaheim,” Amazon spokesperson Carly Levy told KTLA.
Many of the seasonal roles have the potential to transition into year-round employment with benefits, Amazon stated in a news release.
“Positions offer competitive pay, flexible schedules, and pathways to full-time employment with comprehensive benefits for those interested in long-term opportunities with the company,” Levy said.
Amazon also announced new data highlighting significant investments in California. “Amazon has invested $218 billion in California, contributing to local economic growth and job creation,” the news release states.
Weekly job postings through December can be found at amazon.com/localjobs. “Open roles are posted throughout the holiday season and fill up quickly, so candidates are encouraged to check back for updates,” Amazon stated.
Information on open roles and seasonal hiring can also be found on the About Amazon blog.
