VISAKHAPATNAM, India (AP) — South Africa opted to field against host India after captain Laura Wolvaardt won a rain-delayed toss Thursday at the Women’s Cricket World Cup.

Afternoon showers and a wet outfield delayed the toss by an hour, with South Africa taking the conditions into account when choosing to bowl first. The chasing side could have an advantage owing to possible dew at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VCDA Stadium.

The game was set to begin at 4 p.m. local time, but no overs have been deducted.

Both sides made one change each. South Africa brought in medium pacer Tumi Sekhkhune for Masabata Klaas, while batting all-rounder Amanjot Kaur is back for India in place of Renuka Singh.

India won both its first two games against Sri Lanka and Pakistan and could go top of the points table with another win.

South Africa lost its first game to England – routed by 10 wickets after being bowled out for 69 runs — but then registered a statement win by beating New Zealand by six wickets with 61 balls to spare.
