Amazon MGM Studios announced today that Melania, its Melania Trump documentary from director Brett Ratner, is set to release exclusively in theaters on Friday, January 30 in the U.S. and select territories overseas. Pic will stream exclusively on Prime Video following its theatrical run.
Melania offers unprecedented access to the 20 days leading up to the 2025 Presidential Inauguration through the eyes of the First Lady-elect herself. Viewers will be able to step inside Melania Trump’s world as she orchestrates inauguration plans, navigates the complexities of the White House transition, and reenters public life with her family. With exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments, the film showcases Mrs. Trump’s return to one of the world’s most powerful roles.
In addition to the feature doc, the filmmakers are currently finishing an accompanying three-part docuseries, which will dive even deeper into Melania’s life during the 20 days before the inauguration, while she travels between New York City, Palm Beach, and Washington, D.C.
Filming on the doc kicked off last December — one month after Donald Trump’s victory in a second presidential election. Fernando Sulichin exec produced for New Element Media, alongside Mrs. Trump.
