French-Canada Gets ‘24 In 24: Last Chef Standing‘ Remake
24 in 24: Last Chef Standing, the Warner Bros International Television Production (WBITVP) format, is being remade in French-speaking Canada. Quebecor Content-owned TVA has ordered a 12-episode series of the culinary competition, which was originally for Food Network. It will be made by Pixcom and launches in the spring of 2026. Part-culinary marathon, part-social experiment, the format sees 24 chefs facing 24 challenges across 24 relentless hours. In eight rolling three-hour shifts, they are tested on speed, artistry, and adaptability, producing dishes designed to impress the hosts and a lineup of guest judges. “Having only brought 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing to buyers at MIPCOM this time last year, the series has gone from strength to strength, with a second hit season in the USA, and a third on the way,” said André Renaud, WBITVP’s GVP of Format and Finished Sales. The deal, which is the first for the format, was brokered by Harry Gamsu, WBITVP’s US-based VP, Development.
