EXCLUSIVE: Michael Chiklis has new representation. The Shield star has signed with UTA in all areas.

The move comes as Chiklis is starring in The Senior, a feature that opened on September 19. The film, directed by Rod Lurie, is based on the true story of 59-year-old Mike Flynt, who returned to college to play football during his final year.

Chiklis was previously represented by Gersh.

Chiklis is best known for starring in FX cop drama The Shield, which ran between 2002 and 2008. He starred as Detective Vic Mackey and the role landed him an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in 2002 as well as the Golden Globe for Best Actor – TV Series Drama.

Most recently, Chiklis both starred in and directed episodes of Howard Gordon’s Fox drama series Accused. Other TV credits include HBO’s Winning Time, Paramount+’s Coyote, FX’s American Horror Story: Freak Show, Fox’s Gotham, NBC’s Vegas and ABC’s No Ordinary Family and The Commish.

On the film side, he is known for playing The Thing/Ben Grimm in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and starred in Don’t Look Up, Eagle Eye, The Three Stooges and Wired.

He is set to direct several projects that are in various stages of development and production.

He continues to be represented by Entertainment 360 and Ziffren Law.
