14 arrested in Southern California train burglary bust

Fourteen suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in a series of train burglaries in San Bernardino County.

The burglaries, which occurred in the Victor Valley area, were under investigation by the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

After narrowing down potential suspects, on Oct. 6, investigators from the Rural Crimes Task Force, with the help of BNSF railroad police and the Hesperia Station Detective Bureau, served a search warrant at a home on the 14600 block of Willow Street in Hesperia.

When authorities arrived, seven suspects attempted to flee the residence but were quickly apprehended. An additional seven suspects were found inside the home.

While searching the property, investigators found property that had been stolen from BNSF railroad, worth approximately $42,500. Authorities also found about $55,000 in U.S. currency.

The 14 suspects arrested at the home were identified as:

  • Armando Gonzalez, 20, of Hesperia
  • Eloid Paz Lizarraga, 21, of Hesperia
  • Jesus Fierro Escalante, 22, of Hesperia
  • Isidro Mendivil Mendez, 23, of Hesperia
  • Jesus Jimenez Gonzalez, 24, of Hesperia
  • Jose Navarette Carrillo, 24, of Victorville
  • Tomas Valdez Olivares, 25, of Hesperia
  • Johan Camargo Salazar, 25, of Hesperia
  • Guadalupe Alejandro Raya, 26, of Hesperia
  • Juan Oliveras Valdez, 27, of Hesperia
  • Jose Rodriguez Cecena, 28, of Hesperia
  • Juan Jimenez Garcia, 29, of Hesperia
  • Ezequiel Jimenez Gaxiola, 36, of Santa Rosa
  • Leobardo Corral Corrales, 46, of Westminster

The suspects were transported to the High Desert Detention Center. All stolen property and merchandise were returned to BNSF. No further details were released as the investigation continues.
