Cameras have started rolling in Belgium on Felix van Groeningen’s latest feature, Let Love In.
The film was written by Groeningen, Charlotte Vandermeersch, and Anne Paulicevich. Vandermeersch also stars alongside Luca Marinelli (The Eight Mountains). The synopsis reads: Let Love In is the story of one couple’s emotional journey as they question everything they once took for granted when a long-kept affair is confessed. But what looks like a relationship in crisis reveals itself as a story of healing and reconnection. A quest for honesty, true intimacy, and deep understanding, redefining what it means to be lovers.
The film is presented by Mubi, The Match Factory, OUR Films (a Mediawan company), Menuetto, and Rufus. The film is an OUR Films, Menuetto, and Rufus production, in collaboration with Circle One. The producers are Hans Everaert, Groeningen, Vandermeersch, Mario Gianani, Lorenzo Mieli, and Lorenzo Gangarossa.
The film is financed by the Flanders Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Kinepolis Film Distribution (KFD), Proximus, VRT, and the Belgian tax shelter (in cooperation with BNP Paribas Fortis Film Finance and Casa Kafka Pictures).
Groeningen directed The Broken Circle Breakdown, which was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 86th Academy Awards. He also directed Beautiful Boy, starring Timothee Chalamet and Steve Carell, and won the Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize for The Eight Mountains.
