A 1946 ranch-style house, on 0.2 acres

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom house, has an attached guest unit with its own bathroom and kitchenette. It’s in an area abutting the San Gabriel Mountains and hiking trails and Angeles National Golf Club are within a 10-minute drive. A supermarket and a public library are five minute away, as are public elementary and high schools.

Burbank Airport is a 20-minute drive, and Griffith Park, home to the Los Angeles Zoo and the Travel Town Museum, is within 30 minutes. Also 30 minutes away by car is the center of Glendale, while downtown Los Angeles is about 40 minutes away.

Size: 1,510 square feet

Price per square foot: $629

Indoors: A gate opens from the street to a paved patio, and from here the front door opens directly to the dining room, where a fireplace has a colorful tile surround.

Steps on one side of the dining room lead down to the living room, which has wide-plank floors. Windows face the front patio, vibrant pink flowers in the side yard and the pool behind the house. On the other side of the dining room is the kitchen, where the appliances, including a gas range, dishwasher and built-in microwave are stainless steel.

A hallway leads from the dining room to the back of the house, with the primary suite on one side and two additional bedrooms on the other. The primary bedroom is big enough for a king-size bed, with sliding-glass doors that open to the back patio and a wall closet. The en suite bathroom has a combined tub and shower.

The other two bedrooms are each big enough for queen-size beds. A full bathroom is also off the hall, as is a large linen closet.

The garage has been converted into an additional living space, laid out as a studio with a kitchen in one corner and a full bathroom with a stall shower.

Outdoor space: The back patio is paved, and at its center is an in-ground swimming pool. Several mature palm trees line the front and back patios, and a carport has two covered parking spots.

Taxes: $11,880 (estimated)
