‘SNL’ Promos With Bad Bunny, Doja Cat & Chloe “Salamander” Tease Season 51 Premiere

The clock is ticking down to the Season 51 premiere of NBC’s stalwart Saturday Night Live, and host Bad Bunny is teaming with musical guest Doja Cat and longtime castmember Chloe Salamander — er, Lion, uh Fineman — for a trio of quickie promos. Have a look above.

The first of the roughly 15-second vignettes sees Fineman riff on the musical duo’s animal names by introducing herself first as “Chloe Salamander” then “Chloe Lion” — complete with sound effects. Her cohorts are unimpressed.

The clip continues with Bad Bunny, who will headline the halftime show during the NFL championship game in February, noting his hosting gig this weekend. When Fineman asks if he is excited, The King of Latin Trap replies: “About the Super Bowl? Yes!” Easy misunderstanding.

The last of the promos begins with Bad Bunny looking off to one side, rather than addressing the camera. When Fineman notes that he’s “facing the wrong way,” the faux-annoyed host replies, “No, I’ve hosted before, and I remember how you do this.” Doja Cat then follows his lead, and Fineman — well, watch the clip to see what she does.

Bad Bunny is hosting SNL for a second time — he did double duty as frontman and musical guest in 2023 — with “Say So” and “Paint the Town Red” artist Doja Cat making her debut the musical guest. SNL alum Amy Poehler is hosting Episode 2 on October 11, and Sabrina Carpenter will host and be the musical guest the following week.
